Providing greater diversity of choice in housing through quality infill development and a vibrant, liveable built environment is crucial to ensuring we can cater to the needs of our growing population and changing demographics in the decades to come.

With the Step Up Housing Design competition, LandCorp asked entrants to showcase their ideas on how to deliver cost-effective, sustainable, affordable housing without comprising on liveability or design quality – creating an exemplar design to educate homebuyers and industry on the benefits of medium-density housing.

To develop cost effective medium-density housing solutions that address the growing demand for accessible, affordable, sustainable housing through good quality design and innovative use of building construction methods, materials and technologies.

Participants must demonstrate the ability to deliver a cost-effective, practical design solution that can easily be modified to suit a range of locations and contexts, and contribute significantly to the provision of innovative medium-density housing capable of meeting the needs of future generations.
